Hey Peg Marks DeBoard,
I was on the phone with you, today. You didn’t tell me that you had gotten to send this photo to Ken, yet.
The boy between you and me is George (Morrison?). (At least I remember his first name. The girl between me and Susan Bridges is Carol Riegert. (She is the question mark between Dennis Nugent and Warren Eaches.) The question mark between Alan Brickner and Bobby Simons is Janice Stinsman. The “Mary” to the right of Barbara Hale is Mary Fitzgerald. The boy to the right of Richard Reeves… wasn’t his last name Holmes?
The question mark to the left of Ann Sentman…. could it be Charlotte Hill? This is the best my 70 year old brain can do.
Hey Ken,
How come we can’t enlarge the photo by clicking on it?
I joined you all in the 8th grade…any pixs of that year…of course I know everyone in the 7th grade class…it is so much fun to look at these…thanks Ken…and isn’t that David Vilkomerson on the top row?
So glad you found this site! Slowly, but surely, we’re getting some WWHS class of 58 people. Yeah!
You mentioned Dave Vilkomerson in the Davis picture, but, Dave didn’t attend Davis. All the names I could remember are listed according to row in the first posting of the picture. There are a couple ?’s, Maybe you could fill in the blanks.
There is a sub page with photos from “Cramer School 8th Grade Picnic”.
Peggy (Marks) DeBoard and I went to Cramer and had Mr Leonetti for home room and English.
I never met David Vilkomerson until I attended Woodrow Wilson.
I have made him aware of this site; but he has not posted, yet.
Pat I think you’re looking at the wrong picture. Pat Neely is listed in the 7th grade class of 1952. this is the following year.
I sorta’ remember your Mom, she lived next door, I think, to Barbara Hale. She and I were on the porch one day, and her little brother was being a bother and I called him a brat. From the depths of the house came this loud voice saying “PATSY!” Her Mom didn’t like me calling him a brat. (Which I really thought he was!) Funny things one remembers.
To tell the truth, I don’t remember if Bill and David were in Mrs. Gerke’s 9th grade class. I just remember them being in our classes. David was valedictorian and Bill in the top ten of our graduating class. Susan Plotnick was salutatorian. The others in the top ten were: Susan Bridge, Harry Berkowitz, Paul Colsey, Dorothy Dunn, Stuart Gottlieb, Sheila Rubin, and Pat Whittick. Before you start thinking I’m brilliant in remembering all this, I just looked it up in our yearbook! Ha!
The fact that David Vilkomerson was valedictorian makes me feel pretty good,
because is autographed my report card at the end of our 10th grade year with, “To Inez, the girl who gave me a lot of answers”. Ha Ha.
I think he was referring to our philosophic conversations…. he sat in front of me in class and we gabbed a lot.

Hey Peg (Marks) DeBoard,
The boy in class photo to the right of Richard Reeves….. could his name be “Tommy Halsey”?
For some reason that name came to my 70 year old brain, today.
You know what they say ” You can’t find your keys; but you can remember what happened 57 years ago”.

Inez,
Yes, I do believe it is Tommy Halsey. Good job! That memory is still perking!

Had a note from Bill Smith and he suggests the boy next to Dennis Esworthy is George Peyton. I think that’s right. Thanks Bill!

Hey Peg,
Before WWHS, was Bill Smith in any of our classes? And at WWHS, was Bill Smith in our home room? My memory is terrible on this.

Hey Peg,
Again….
Before WWHS, was David Vilkomerson in any classes with us?
I don’t remember him before 9th grade.
